Overview
This article explains what data N+One collects, how we use it inside the app, and where to find controls for exports, deletions, and third‑party connections. It is written for privacy‑conscious cyclists who want clear, actionable steps inside the web app (Beta).
If you need the full, legal details about data handling, retention, or your rights, see our privacy policy at /privacy.
Key points (quick)
- Open in‑app privacy options on Settings → Privacy: /settings/privacy.
- Disconnect or manage device syncs on Settings → Device Integrations: /settings/integrations.
- Delete your account from Account settings: /settings/account or contact support at /settings/support.
- Exports and formal requests are supported; see /privacy and contact support for next steps.
What we collect (high level)
N+One uses the data you provide and the data you choose to sync to build adaptive coaching and analytics. Typical types of data stored and used in the product include:
- Profile data you enter during onboarding (athlete profile, goals) used to personalize plans.
- Training activities and ride files synced from connected services or uploaded by you. These power the Training calendar (/training) and Performance analytics (/performance).
- Planned workouts and matched completed sessions (planned vs completed match logic is used in the calendar UI).
- Readiness signals and health metrics (for readiness scoring): HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, and related recovery measures when available from integrations such as Garmin or WHOOP.
- Training‑load and eFTP series used by Overview (/overview) and Performance (/performance) views (weekly eFTP trends, CTL/ATL/TSB calculations).
- Integration metadata: connection status, last sync time, and basic sync errors shown on the Integrations page.
We use this data only to run the app (adaptive plans, AI Coach context at /coach, analytics, calendar matching, upload workflows) and to provide support.
Where to manage privacy in the app
Open the profile menu in the header and go to Settings → Privacy: /settings/privacy. From there you can:
- See the privacy options and links to request data exports or deletions (high‑level controls are in the UI; detailed legal procedures are in /privacy).
- Be pointed to support for bespoke requests via Settings → Help & Support: /settings/support.
For account deletion you'll likely be directed to Settings → Account: /settings/account to begin the process; support can assist if you need help.
Third‑party integrations (what they share and how to manage)
Active device integrations in N+One include Strava, Wahoo, WHOOP, and Garmin. On /settings/integrations you can:
- Connect and disconnect services (OAuth flows). The page shows sync status and last sync time.
- See which services are actively syncing activities or health metrics.
What each integration typically provides:
- Strava: activity sync for rides; you may also use Strava to stop syncing or disconnect if you want fewer activities in N+One. Strava activity sync interacts with the app’s optional commute filtering behavior.
- Wahoo: activity sync and optional upload of planned workouts to supported devices (ELEMNT, KICKR) when workout upload is enabled.
- WHOOP: strain, recovery, and sleep sync for readiness and recovery scoring.
- Garmin: activities and health metrics (sleep, HRV, RHR) used by the readiness models and performance analytics; Garmin also supports workout upload to Garmin Connect/devices when enabled.
Oura and Zwift are shown in the Integrations page with "full integration coming soon" copy. They are not active integrations today; treat them as upcoming features.
Note: OAuth return flows may include success or error query messages (for example: oauth_failed, whoop_profile_failed, unauthorized). If you see an error, check /settings/integrations and open Support: /settings/support.
Exports and deletion — how to start a request
At a high level:
- Exporting your data: Open /settings/privacy and follow the export instructions, or contact support at /settings/support if you need a full data package. Exports include the core data needed to understand your training history (activities, readiness and training‑load series, and profile data) but specifics are provided in the legal policy at /privacy.
- Deleting your account and data: Start in Settings → Account: /settings/account or submit a deletion request via /settings/support. The deletion process and any required verification steps are described in /privacy.
If you are subject to GDPR or similar laws and want to exercise rights such as access, portability, or erasure, we provide the necessary channels in the app and through Support; see /privacy for the full legal description.
After you disconnect or delete: practical notes
- Disconnecting an integration stops new syncs. Previously synced activities or metrics may remain in N+One until you request an export or deletion — open Support: /settings/support if you want old data removed.
- Deleting your account removes your profile and personal data per the process described on /privacy. If you only want to stop syncing a device, disconnect it instead.
Security & data handling (brief)
N+One is a browser‑based Progressive Web App (PWA). The app relies on secure account sign‑in and OAuth when you connect external services. For technical details about storage, retention, and security practices, consult our privacy policy at /privacy.
Offline note: some pages can be cached in the PWA; visit /offline for details about what works without a network. AI Coach conversations and new syncs require a network connection.
Need help or want to act now?
- Manage integrations: open Settings → Device Integrations (/settings/integrations).
- Request exports, deletions, or ask policy questions: open Settings → Help & Support (/settings/support) or read the legal policy at /privacy.
- Delete your account: start at Settings → Account (/settings/account).
If you aren’t sure which action to take, open /settings/support and describe the request (export, delete, disconnect). Our Support team will walk you through the next steps.

Final note
N+One is built to use the minimum data required to deliver adaptive coaching and accurate readiness signals. If you have a privacy concern we haven't covered here, open Settings → Help & Support (/settings/support). We’ll help you export, disconnect, or delete data and point you to the legal details on /privacy.
