Strava’s Claude MCP reads your Strava history. N+One is a Dynamic Coach connected to Garmin, Strava, Whoop, and intervals.icu — one next session, not only answers about the past.
If you have used ChatGPT, you already know the idea: ask a question, get a fluent answer. Strava’s official Claude connector makes that work on your activity history. You authorize once, then ask things like “Are my easy days easy enough?” without exporting a CSV.
That is useful. It is also easy to confuse with a coach.
N+One is built for the other job. A Dynamic Coach connected to Garmin, Strava, Whoop, and intervals.icu — plus the plan you are actually supposed to ride. The promise is The Next Session, decided for you, not a recap of last month that you still have to turn into Tuesday.
You can use both. Claude + Strava is a strong on-demand analyst. N+One is the coach that holds state when you do not feel like prompting.
In June 2026 Strava launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector for subscribers. You add Strava in Claude’s connector directory (web, desktop, or Claude Code) and authorize with OAuth. Claude then reads live Strava data in the conversation.
At launch it can reach:
Access is read-only, scoped to your account, and revocable in Strava settings. It is a Strava subscriber feature. Strava launched with Claude first.
What it cannot do, by design: create workouts, edit your calendar, or push a session to Garmin, Wahoo, or a trainer. Claude can write you a plan as text. Keeping that plan honest after a bad night’s sleep is still on you.
Analysis answers questions about what already happened. Coaching decides what happens next — with the fatigue you are carrying, the hours you actually have, and the event you said you care about.
Three gaps show up as soon as you try to train from Claude + Strava alone:
That is not a knock on Claude or on Strava. Reading data is the cheap layer. Holding a plan, readiness, and a next session — every day — is a product.
| Dimension | Strava × Claude MCP | N+One |
|---|---|---|
| Core job | Ask questions about past Strava data | Dynamic Coach that returns one next session |
| Data | Strava only | Garmin, Strava, Whoop, intervals.icu (+ Wahoo) in one thread |
| Plan | Text you copy and maintain yourself | Living plan that adapts to rides, readiness, and life |
| Write-back | Read-only | Plans and sessions in-product; device upload where we support it |
| Memory | Conversation transcript | Goals, load, readiness, and coach continuity |
| Who starts | You prompt every time | Coach in the product; readiness-aware recommendations |
| Method | General LLM; logic can shift per answer | Cycling-specific coaching stack |
| Access | Paid Strava + Claude | N+One account; Strava is one integration, not a prerequisite for the AI layer |
Strava subscription pricing and Claude usage limits are separate from N+One. N+One Pro is from about €4.99/mo billed yearly (€6.99/mo monthly) with a 14-day trial. See pricing. Treat third-party prices as approximate.
If you already linked Strava to Claude, you have probably seen how fast years of rides become a table or a chart. The next question is usually: “So what do I ride tomorrow?”
N+One answers that from a stack, not a single log:
Compare other plan-app framing on Spoked, JOIN, and TrainerRoad.
Stay with Claude + Strava if you mainly want to explore history, build custom charts, or ask open questions about old rides. That job is real. It is not the same as coaching.
Strava × Claude is a pipe from one log into a general assistant. N+One is a coaching product: context, plan contract, and a next session.
Connected to Garmin, Strava, Whoop, and intervals.icu so recommendations are grounded in rides and recovery — not generic AI advice on a Strava export.
The coach remembers goals, recent sessions, and what you already agreed. You do not re-explain the season every time you open a new Claude chat.
When we support it, planned work can leave the chat and land on a device. Read-only analysis stops at the paragraph.
Connect your wearables and ask what to ride next. Claude can tell you how last month looked. N+One decides Tuesday.
