What the public knowledge base is
N+One’s public knowledge base (/knowledge-base) is a collection of published help and education articles for cyclists. It’s an editorial, searchable set of evergreen content: how-to guides, training science explainers, troubleshooting tips, and best-practice articles that anyone can read without signing in.
Use it when you want clear, standalone explanations—for example, articles on FTP, training load (CTL/ATL/TSB), interval design, recovery, or device best practices.
How the knowledge base is organised
- A main index lives at /knowledge-base.
- Articles are grouped into categories. Category pages use the pattern /knowledge-base/category/[categorySlug].
- Each article is a self-contained page you can bookmark, share, or cite.
Common types of content you’ll find:
- Technical how-tos (power meter calibration, FTP testing)
- Training science and theory (adaptive plans, periodization)
- Practical guides (nutrition, recovery, indoor training)
- Product-focused explainers that help you use N+One effectively
How to browse and find articles
- Start at /knowledge-base to scan featured and recent articles.
- Use category pages for topic-centred browsing (e.g. training, integrations, technical).
- Open any article to read, then follow internal links in the article to related posts for deeper coverage.
If you arrive from search, articles are written to be useful on their own; they often reference other KB pages for more detail.
Example articles (useful starting points)
- FTP and durability: /knowledge-base/ftp-is-a-snapshot-durability-is-the-real-story
- How N+One’s AI coach works: /knowledge-base/how-nplusone-ai-cycling-coach-works
- Understanding training load (CTL/ATL/TSB): /knowledge-base/understanding-training-load-ctl-atl-tsb
- Device and indoor training tips (Zwift context): /knowledge-base/winter-cycling-training-zwift-gear
Difference between the public KB and in‑app help
The knowledge base and the in-app screens serve different needs. Know which to use:
-
Public knowledge base (/knowledge-base)
- Audience: general readers and users seeking standalone articles.
- Content: editorial, evergreen guidance and deep-dive explainers.
- Not personalized: articles do not show your account data.
-
In-app help (Settings > Help & Support)
- Access from the app header profile menu → Help & Support (/settings/support).
- Audience: signed-in users needing app-specific support, FAQs, and contact form.
- Contextual: FAQ entries reference exact settings locations (for example Settings > Integrations) and link directly to in-app pages.
Use the public KB for learning and reference; open Help & Support (/settings/support) in the app when you need account-specific troubleshooting, to report sync issues, or to contact support.
When to use the KB vs the app screens
- Read an article about FTP, zones, or interval structure on the KB to learn the why and how.
- Open the app Overview (/overview), Training (/training), Readiness (/readiness), or Performance (/performance) to see your personal data and adaptive guidance.
- If you need hands-on troubleshooting for device sync or OAuth errors, check Settings → Integrations (/settings/integrations) and then use Help & Support (/settings/support) to contact us.
Notes about integrations and the KB
The KB explains common integration workflows and troubleshooting steps, but it does not change which integrations are available. In-app integrations shown on /settings/integrations currently include Strava, Wahoo, WHOOP, and Garmin. Oura Ring is listed with full integration “coming soon.” There’s also a Zwift workout-upload card on the Integrations page with copy that notes full integration is coming soon—KB articles explain indoor training best practices while we expand structured integration support.
Getting the most from KB articles
- Read related articles: each page links to deeper topics (power zones, recovery, training plans).
- Follow practical steps: many articles include checklists (e.g., power meter pre‑ride checks) you can act on immediately.
- Combine KB reading with in-app data: learn the principles in the KB, then apply them to your personal charts in Overview or Performance.
Still need help?
- If an article doesn’t answer your question, open the app and go to Settings → Help & Support (/settings/support) to use the contact form or browse FAQ accordions.
- For install instructions for the PWA, see /install-pwa.
